Top Thrifty Tips - Let's Get Hopping

My amazing friend Jennifer Frost created a Let's Get Blogging challenge group on Facebook throughout August. There are a bunch of bloggers on there from beginners to more experienced and it was such a fun community vibe. If you need some sound info from Jenn's blogging experience and a bunch of helpful links to get you started, I recommend you check it out! You can start *HERE* at her blog.

BUT, what's a blogging group without a 'call to action'? So, I'm supporting Jenn and her groupies (is that the right word? Haha) in what, for some, will be their first ever blog hop. The theme is 'Top Thrifty Tips' - so here's mine: Keep those little ribbon cut offs! I have a messy stash of ribbon pieces that I pick from to add a touch of texture and a bit of lift to my cards. The real trick is keeping it close by so it's in my line of sight when I'm crafting - otherwise they get forgotten. Here are two cards, pretty much the same design (just different stamps and colours) using some ribbon bits :)

Large Font Love - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

We're loving on LARGE FONTS this month on the Fancy Friday blog hop! If you're new around here you might like to know we're a group of past and present Stampin' Up! Artisans that love to bring you inspiration :)

This past weekend, at a crafty weekend away, I had heaps of time to play with the Lots of Love stamp set. It was kindly given as an all-attendee prize (amongst various other things!) - SO spoilt. Without further ado, here are a few cards I know will add a splash of colour to your day.

Design Credit for this next one goes entirely to my friend Paula Dobson. This card was part of her class on the retreat. It's so fun sometimes to just sit and make something that someone else has throughly thought through and done the cutting for. Haha. Love the letters in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder!
