Christchurch Earthquake

Many of you will have already heard about the earthquakes in Christchurch. Watching the devastation on the TV seems quite surreal but we are beginning to hear more and more personal accounts of what it's like down there. Of course our thoughts are constantly on Christchurch and her people. A couple of things you can do to help:

If you know people who are relocating to Auckland and need a place to stay (rent free), food, resources and other support including counseling - get them to contact the Christchurch Earthquake Response Team. The team also welcome any donations of both $$ and resources. More details here: http://www.christchurchemergencyrelief.org.nz/

If you're crafty and want to use your talents for good, the ladies at 'Handmade for Christchurch' are doing a great job of coordinating the sale of hand-made items on Trade Me. You too can donate your hand-made items and all proceeds from the auctions go to the Salvation Army and Women's Refuge. Check out their Facebook Page for more information or simply email a photo, description and RRP to handmade.for.christchurch@gmail.com
